"X" Marks the Spot With "Force"
By Staples Revolution

If you have been in a comic shop lately, you probably noticed a slew of new or revised X- titles. The Staples realizes that you would have to live under a rock not to notice them on the shelves. They all have catchy art and the same crap that has always made the X-titles number one sellers. I don't want to insult my little staples out there so I wouldn't write about the regular X-Men. The title that caught the Staple's eye was the all new X-Force. This is the only X-title Marvel grew some "sac" with and really let the writer and artist, Peter Milligan and Mike Allred, have creative control with. This is not your ordinary mutant team. These heroes care more about corporate sponsorship and being on television. They put crime fighting in second place. Moreover, this band of mutants is not all super models and hard bodies. If the Staple's can speak frankly, they are butt ugly. Mike Allred is responsible for the Slave Labor/Dark Horse hit title; Mad-Man. Allred keeps the zany feel of Mad-Man in the X-Force title. Don't worry Mad-Man fans; Mike is still the same old artist and writer that made him famous. The Staples hopes this trend of experimentation grows into more and more Marvel titles.
