Hello again my Stapleholics to another review on title, Ruse, issue one, from Crossgen Comics. This title is one of the many works of writer Mark Waid and it is really good for he takes the old idea of Sherlock Holmes and adds a new spin to it. Within the pages of this comic lives the characters of Simon Archard, the world's greatest detective, and his partner, Emma Bishop, who go about The City of Partington solving crimes and mysteries. As you read though the book, the world Waid creates for Simon Archard isn't all like world of Holmes. For Simon Archard is fill with mutants, time travelers and modern sci-fi elements. This comic is worth a look, even just for the work of comic artist great, Butch Guise. This is The Stapler signing off.
