Batman The Movie - Special Edition DVD
By Popcorn Avenger

Back before Schumacher and before Burton brought their unique visions of the Dark Knight to the silver screen, William Dozier produced a true cult classic, Batman-The Movie. In this classic confrontation between good and evil, Adam West and Burt Ward don the cowls (sans rubber enhanced thorax). Batman must ward off the evil doings of a rogue’s gallery of his most famous villains: The Joker, The Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. With a lethal combination like this, the villains’ objectives are no less than world domination. Watch and enjoy how the caped crusader battles evil armed only with a utility belt and an unswerving sense of right and wrong. It will bring back fond memories and smiles to those who grew up watching the series and laughs to those who have not. This is a Batman film that can be enjoyed by all ages.

The biggest set back to this dvd is that the special features are less than…well… dynamic. And this has got to be the worst audio commentary I have ever seen (next to Morgan Freeman in SE7EN). It sounds as if West and Ward forgot what went on while they made the movie and just sat there saying “ooohhh” and “aaahhhh” at the corny special effects. This might actually be one of the few films made worse through its special features.
