By Popcorn Avenger It has been 20 years since adventure was given a new name: Indiana Jones. After two decades, adventure was ready for a new name and face… it is too bad it will have to wait longer. Video Game icon Lara Croft is the perfect subject for an action film; unfortunately, Lara couldn’t overcome her greatest challenge: the jump from 64 bit to the real world. The storyline of this is almost incomprehensible. The film centers around an ancient timepiece that when the planets align it is activated, and the one who controls it can control time (wait a minute, where are the tombs to raid???). As if the story was not already lame enough, once Croft obtained her first piece or the chronometric puzzle, rather than destroy it, thus stopping the bad guys from getting dangerously close to winning, she decides o team with them… SAY WHAT!!! It would seen that since Angelina Jolie won her Academy Award she has had Billy Bob Thornton’s man juice on her mind and has forgotten how to select truly compelling scripts.   Back to Movie Index |
