By Popcorn Avenger What can one say about an animated feature with the vocal talents of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy? It is a joy for parents and children. While some may find the bathroom humor too grotesque for fun family fare, the remainder of the film will entertain you with snappy dialogue and a smooth 3-D style that will make you forget you are watching an animated feature. My main complaint with the film is the obvious pot shots at Disney taken by Dreanworks executive Jeffery Katzenberg. While Disney may be an overbearing, imperialistic, corporation, they are responsible for the look of modern animation. Mr. Katzenberg, a former disgruntled Disney executive, needs to suck it up, tough it out and grow up… hey, everyone loses a job you whinny bitch… But I digress. It is easy to see why Shrek is on its way to being one of the biggest animated films of all time.   Back to Movie Index |
