Alien Ant Farm - Anthology

Since last year, SoCal has become quite the hot spot for musical talent. With bands such as P.O.D, Blink-182, and Papa Roach, it is no surprise that the next possible bust-out band comes from Cali. Alien Ant Farm is that band. Their album, Anthology, has an excellent sound. Their music has the sound Sugar Ray lost, once they gained financial success. Their blend of soft vocals and hard guitar is a nice change from the other California bands. So far Alien Ant Farm has had two singles released. The first, “Movies”, received very little exposure but is a great tune. Their latest release is a remake to one of the King of Pop’s biggest hits, “ Smooth Criminal”. In short, it is harsh!!! I respect Ant Farm for such a unique remake choice. MTV has got on to Ant Farm. They are plugging them on their run-away smash hit, Tough Enough. The album Anthology is surely one of the most fun albums of 2001. It is worthy of a 7 out of 10.
