There is not a whole lot one can say about this disc. This is a collection of Prince’s best tunes from his early years. Yes, the years before the lame symbol. This collection will literally throw the listener to the eighties. It contains seventeen of his best songs. Hearing hits such as 1999, Purple Rain, and Raspberry Beret will really bring back memories of when Prince was cool and good. The 80s revival is definitely a good thing. It gives the public albums such as this one. Listeners need only to purchase one record to posses all the awesome tracks. The Very Best of Prince is a fun and nostalgic road back to the eighties. It is worthy of a 7 out of 10. |
