A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms
By Logan Legacy

Hello fans, Logan here with a "musicial rewind". Upon returning from the Tool show, I decided to treat the fans to more Maynard. I am talking about his side band, A Perfect Circle, and their album is Mer de Noms. This album is a way softer sound from Tool. Maynard's lyrical magic along with the bands twisted array of guitars, violens, and drums in one word- SHREDS! The album is a mix of hard rockin' tunes like the smash hit, Judith, and soft ballads like Three Libras. The blending of the two styles is an emotional rollercoarster. One can feel anger, misery, joy, and bliss all in a single listening of Mer de Noms. Honestly, I think fans of all music can appreciate the essence of A Perfect Circle. This album posses hidden treasures for any Maynard James Keenan lover. The lyrics are a very personal look into the life of A Perect Circle's frontman. For example, Brena is written for his true love. Judith and many other tunes are about the downs of love. Overall, I think this is by far one of modern rocks greatest works. I am very proud to give it the highest rating possible. Mer de Noms is worthy of a 10 out of 10.
