MUDVAYNE - L.D. 50
By Hamilton X

I really like this CD. If you never heard of Mudvayne before, they are a mixture of Tool, Pantera, and White Zombie. This group is formed by four Nerds who sing about chemistry related subjects. Loud and insane, perfect music to bust your ear drums to. Sure they may look a little strange, but they lyrics seem valid, unlike some groups who have a cool sound, but brain-dead lyrics. MUDVAYNE is Greg "Gurry" Tribbett:(vocals, guitar), Chad "Kud" Gray: (vocals), Ryan Martinie: (bass), Matthew "spay" McDonough: (drums and no he is not related in anyway to Mattdogg). "Monolith" has to be one of the creative intros to a CD that I have heard in a long time. Kind of reminds me of something that would be in an old George Lucas College movie. It really gets you in the mood. "Dig" being a very fast and not to mention hard. The CD does have some mixture of hard and soft vocals and instruments, which I like because it goes perfectly with my Bipolar moods. I give them a 9 our of 10, simply because of its scientific song titles, like "Internal Primates Forever", "Pharmaecopia" and "Death blooms".
