Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler

What do you get when you shrink Blink 182 and the Offspring? The answer is Sum 41. This band of young punk rockers is full "piss and vinegar". They bring out the fun and careless attitude of punk. Their sound is nothing short of a bad rerun of a Green Day meets Bad Religion. Their first single Fat Lip is getting great exposure from Playstation 2 and the American Pie 2 trailer. The tune has even graced MTV's coveted TRL. These youngsters are very fortunate to make it. They have the "look" all the kids are after. Their musical skill could be improved. The album All Killer No Filler is nothing more than a group of kids having fun. It is worth checking out just to hear the potential future of punk. Sum 41 has the potential to be more than "punk boy band". Perhaps, their sophomore album will tell. All Killer No Filler is worthy of a 5.5 out of 10. |
