A Piece of Wrestling History is now Gone
By Logan Legacy

I am saddened by the demise of WCW. That league stood for tradition and hard work. To see it completely gone blows me away. What is more difficult to think about is how it died! Vince McMahon, in my opinion, did everything in his power to deface that once great institution. Ironically, the final match that determined its fate was defended by only one true WCW star, Booker T. I mean come on! The WWF creative never gave that league a fair shake. Damn near all of the former WCW talent was simply fonder used to get WWF superstars over. The Alliance slowly became a collection of WWF superstars. Hell the heart and soul of WCW never was there. Stars like Sting, Flair, Nash, Hogan, Macho Man, Jeff Jarrett, Goldberg, the Steiners, and even Disco Inferno were not even considered to be part of this Alliance. Mr. McMahon has a very large wallet. I am sure he could have afforded some of those names. Hell he wasted money on the “brain-fart”, XFL. Looking back at this entire Alliance fiasco, I wish Vince had given WCW their own show and had periodic WWF crossovers.

Now that Ric Flair is in the WWF, there may be a future for the WCW. But I pray that it is not another embarrassing chapter for the league that produced at least 50% of the current WWF roster. And as for the death of ECW, the story goes same. Mr. McMahon needs to realize that competition is what kept him in business. Even though he owns the WCW name, Mr. McMahon should create some competition for his financial mainstay, WWF. After all, his current show is junk because there is nothing to compare it too!
